Tom Lockwood has been a working musician for over 40 years, releasing 6 albums in his name.  His compositions are used in TV and Radio productions in 33 countries.  His acoustic playing has been recognized in “Guitar Player Magazine” and by guitarists such as Don Ross and Liona Boyd.

A tireless teacher, performer, and composer, Tom’s vast knowledge of musical styles is reflected in his compositions which draw from jazz, gospel, blues, classical, and bluegrass.  Tom was especially influenced by the legendary Lenny Breau.

“The initial theme of “Child’s Play” had been with me for some time - I came up with it on my Martin during the mid 70’s.  Inspired later by my friend Steve Fowler, who had become a fine Classical Guitarist, I began studies myself and later began work on finishing the theme I had started.  This piece was completed in 1986 and was released on “Streamline” in 1991.  Steve was such a supporter of my music (and I of his) - his passing in 2011 left a hole that is still felt.”
