Looking at your Guitarest Support on YouTube, it looks great.  I’ve been looking at a few different supports, and am undecided which one I want – I’m definitely leaning toward yours.

If I get it and it really doesn’t fit the way I play, what is your return policy?

Thanks very much,

S. Taylor

Hello Mr. Taylor, thank you for your question.

For whatever reason if you decide to return the Guitarest I will be happy to refund your full purchase price upon return of the merchandise.  The initial shipping cost of $5.00 plus the return shipping would be your responsibility, however I would be happy to offer you a full credit for that amount to be used towards any of the transcriptions on the site.

I have never had any returns to date.  There are a variety of ways to attach the Guitarest and the neck height easily adjusts as well.  I do have a buy 2 get 1 free special at the moment.

Have a great day.

Hi,

The video clip on your site mentions that you will have a model specifically for flamenco players. Is this available now?

What is different from the classical version?

Thanks,

Rob

Dear Robert, thank you for your inquiry.

The model for flamenco players should be in production and on the site within about 2 weeks.  There are 3 main differences with the Original Guitarest.

1.  The strap will be able to be folded during use to allow the option of adopting the current flamenco posture OR using the support.

2.  The overall height will be slightly less to more closely mimic the current flamenco posture while using the support.

3.  The support will hold the guitar so that it is subtly tucked in towards the waist to more closely mimic the current flamenco posture while using the support.

If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Warmest Regards,

Diego de Oro

Subject: Re: guitarest.

I trust the guitarest will work. However, what is your return policy on guitarest?

TVT

I have never had a "GUITAREST" returned but I am happy to refund the purchase price of the "GUITAREST" in full upon return of the product.  You would, however, be responsible for the shipping to and from.  I am sure that you will find it useful, practical and well built.  It also serves as a great gift for your guitarist friends.

If I can be of any further service, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Hi,

I just watched your video and your product looks great!

I have a "parlour" sized or 3/4 guitar. The width at the curve is 9.6cm and towards the bottom of the guitar it ranges from 10cm closest to the curve to 10.4cm further away.  I wondered if your design would accommodate this size.

Also, according to one site from another product they recommend an additional product if your guitar has a matt finish.

The Kling On Guitar Support Protector ($6.95) is suggested for use with matte finish guitars or French polished guitars.

I would not want to damage my Art & Lutherie "Ami Nylon Cedar" guitar.

Thanks for your help!

Linnea

Hello Linnea, thank you for your inquiry.

Yes the "Guitarest" should accommodate your guitar.  I use mine mostly on my flamenco guitars which are 9.4 cm wide at the waist.  As for the finish, I have never tried the Kling On Protector but if you are more comfortable using it then I think it is a fine idea.  I use the "Guitarest" on 4 handmade guitars.  2 - Conde Hermanos (Cypress and Brazilian) 1 - Vicente Carrillo, and 1 - Dana Bourgouise Acoustic.  I have had no problem with scuffing with the exception of the Vicente Carrillo which uses a special hand mixed polish.  This one has shown minor scuffing but less than what my clothes have caused.

If you are unhappy with the "Guitarest" in any way you can return it for a full refund of the purchase price.  You would be responsible for the shipping to and from, however in that scenario I would offer you an equivalent credit towards any transcription on the site.

Hope this letter has been helpful.  Have a great day!

Dear Mr. Taylor,

Thank you for your business.  I'm sure that you will enjoy your "Guitarest" for many years.  It is designed to last a lifetime.  If for any reason it doesn't perform as you had hoped, simply return it and I will be happy to honour our arrangement as previously discussed.

All the best to you and yours this Holiday Season!

Diego

Definitely no need to honor our agreement.  I really like this support.  You’ve made a good product.

I am still using my footstool on the lowest setting only because my chair is a little high, and I tend to like the guitar neck high.

Thank you very much,

S. Taylor

Hi Mr. Taylor, thank you for your letter.  I'm convinced that you can get rid of the footstool.  Can you send me a photo of yourself playing with the support and the footstool.  I'd like to see if I can suggest another way of using the support to get the equivalent height/neck angle.  If you have the time of course.

Happy New Year!

Warmest Regards,

Diego de Oro

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.  I wanted to get some pictures to send before I responded.

As for the support – I definitely love it.  It’s very well made and works very well.  I would suggest:  1) The strap that connects to the ‘s’ bracket has a tendency to slip and I have to pull it back every once in awhile.  I don’t know if you could remedy that – not a huge deal.

I love the product.  For the money, I believe it’s the best out there.

Hi Mr. Taylor, thank you for your letter and photos.  After seeing them I sure that if you follow the suggestions of the attached photos it will work better for your needs and you can throw away the footstool.  That is ultimately the entire point of the Guitarest.  To sit normally and allow for healthier practice and longevity.

Observe the placement in the photos and try it.  Remember, the farther you move the small suction cups back from this placement, the higher the neck will be.

Let me know if it helps.  Thank you for the feedback.  I will make some changes to the tightness of the strap where it wraps around the frame on the next batch.

Warmest Regards,

Diego de Oro

Perfect!  Thank you so much!

...did some right hand exercises and the new position worked great without the footstool.

Thank you again!
